Description
This fruit gummy recipe is much lower in sugar than the commercial version and you need only three ingredients! Making homemade gummy is very simple and healthier, you can try this recipe with/for kids!
Ingredients
Scale
- 200 ml juice
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar, (Adjust up to 6 tbsp depending on the juice used)
- 24 g gelatin sheets
Instructions
- Soak the gelatin sheet in cold water to soften it about 10 mins. If you use gelatin powder, sprinkle it in about twice the amount of water and leave it for about 5 minutes.
- Heat juice and sugar over low heat. Once the sugar has completely dissolved, add and stir in the softened gelatin sheet. If you are using gelatin powder, pour the gelatin powder and water together and dissolve the gelatin.
- Strain the mixture and pour it into the silicone mold. Transfer mold in the refrigerator and refrigerate for 1 hour to overnight.
- If you make with this amount of gelatin, it will be a little soft when taken out from the mold after 1 hour. It feels like a solid jelly rather than a gummy and if you use a hard silicone mold, it will be difficult to take out and it will break easily.
- If you refrigerate overnight, it will be firm and chewy and easy to remove from the mold.
Notes
*I think that it is not suitable for children of very small age because it is finished hard. Don't make it too big, try to make it easy to eat.
