【Kids Cooking】Thumbprint Cookies

Description

The cookie dough for this recipe is made with just 5 ingredients. Thumbprint Cookies the perfect quick and tasty cookie recipe to bake up with kids!


Ingredients

Scale

  • 110 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 150 g cake flour
  • your favorite jam, for filling cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C | 335°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar for 4-5 minutes until well combined.
  3.  Mix in the egg yolk until fully combined. 
  4. Stir in flour until incorporated.
  5.  Roll dough into 0.5 inch balls (about 10g each).
  6. Use your thumb (or the measuring spoon) to press an indentation into each ball of cookie dough. Spoon ½ teaspoon of jam into the indentation in each one.
  7. Bake at 170°C | 335°F for about 14 minutes or until the cookies are set. Cool on baking sheets before serving.
