Ingredients
- Bananas - Since I don't add sugar, the sweetness of the bananas is crucial! Please use well-ripened bananas with black sweet spots.
- Chocolate Chip - If you prefer to make it without sugar, you can omit the chocolate chips. It can be delicious with just bananas and oats, or you can add nuts like almonds as well.
- Oatmeal - I used finely crushed quick oats, which are easy to cook. I also tried making it with whole rolled oats, which retain their round shape. However, the dough was less cohesive, and the banana portion was too soft. I recommend using quick oats as they help the dough come together better.

Instructions
Preparations
Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
Oatmeal Cookies
Place bananas in a bowl and mash with a fork until pureed.
Add oatmeal and chocolate chips.
Arrange the dough on the baking sheet with a fork.
Bake in an oven at 180°C (356°F) for 20 minutes.
3 ingredients & Gluten-free
The only ingredients needed are oatmeal, bananas, and chocolate chips.
- Gluten-free This recipe is gluten-free because oatmeal does not contain gluten. However, if a product containing wheat flour is produced in the same factory, wheat flour may be included in the manufacturing process. Usually the ingredients section of oatmeal will indicate if there is a possibility of wheat flour contamination, so please check before purchasing.
- Sugar Free - If you want to make it without added sugar, you can make it without the chocolate chips. (Or you can add 100% cacao chocolate, cacao nibs, or sugar-free chocolate chips).
Storage
Banana oatmeal cookies are good for 2 days at room temperature and 5 days in the refrigerator after that. The shelf life will be shorter than regular cookies due to the lack of sugar & the water content of the bananas. Please eat them up as soon as possible!
