Scale
- 160 g (about 20 cookies, excluding cream) Oreos
- 80 g unsalted butter, melted
- 200 g chocolate
- 150ml heavy cream
Instructions
Oreo tart base
- Remove the cream from the Oreo cookies and place the cookies in a bag. Crush them finely using a rolling pin or similar tool until they resemble coffee grounds.
- Combine the melted butter with the crushed cookies and mix well, ensuring that the butter is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Press the mixture firmly into a tart pan using the back of a spoon or the bottom of a glass to compact it. For the edges, press the side of a glass against them and use your fingertips to press down any excess for a clean finish. Place it in the freezer until ready to use.
Chocolate ganache
- Place the chopped chocolate in a bowl. Heat the heavy cream.
- Pour the heated cream over the chocolate and let it sit for about 1 minute to melt the chocolate.
- Slowly mix until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the mixture into the tart pan and refrigerate for 3 hours to overnight.
- Gently warm the sides of the mold and remove the dessert from the mold. Use a warmed knife to cut into slices.
Notes
- The base tart crust can be made with regular plain biscuits and still be delicious.
- You can add rum or whiskey to the chocolate filling for extra flavor, or serve it with whipped cream on top when it's done. Since it's a simple and easy recipe, feel free to customize it according to your preferences.
