No bake ganache chocolate tart!
I combined smooth and rich chocolate with a crispy tart crust.
To keep it as simple as possible, I made the chocolate ganache with just chocolate and cream, and for the tart crust, I used Oreo cookies to add a stronger bitter flavor.
This recipe is perfect for those who want to make a tart easily, without using an oven. With only 4 ingredients and no baking required, it's a highly recommended recipe for a quick and delicious tart!
Ingredients
- Oreos - Use only the cream-filled biscuit part. If you want to make homemade cocoa cookies, please refer to this recipe.
- Unsalted butter (melted) - Combine with Oreos to create a solid base.
- Chocolate - Use *Callebaut chocolate with 54.5% cocoa content. Since this is a simple dessert with a lot of chocolate, please choose the highest quality chocolate you can find!
- Heavy cream - Use cream with a fat content of around 35%.
*Caution! Callebaut's chocolate is in the form of chocolate chips for easy melting, but not chocolate chips for baking! ( chocolate chips for baking is highly resistant to heat and does not melt easily.)
Instructions
Oreo tart base
Remove the cream from the Oreo cookies and place the cookies in a bag. Crush them finely using a rolling pin or similar tool until they resemble coffee grounds.
Combine the melted butter with the crushed cookies and mix well, ensuring that the butter is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Press the mixture firmly into a tart pan using the back of a spoon or the bottom of a glass to compact it. For the edges, press the side of a glass against them and use your fingertips to press down any excess for a clean finish. Place it in the freezer until ready to use.
Chocolate ganache
Place the chopped chocolate in a bowl. Heat the heavy cream.
Pour the heated cream over the chocolate and let it sit for about 1 minute to melt the chocolate.
Slowly mix until smooth and creamy.
Pour the mixture into the tart pan and refrigerate for 3 hours to overnight.
Gently warm the sides of the mold and remove the dessert from the mold. Use a warmed knife to cut into slices.
Since it is rich, it is recommended to cut into smaller portions and enjoy it gradually!
You can enhance the flavor by adding rum or whiskey to the ganache if desired. It also tastes delicious when served with whipped cream as a garnish.
Storage
Please store in the refrigerator and consume within approximately 3 days. The ganache part of the dessert may become firm when refrigerated, so it is recommended to let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before eating to achieve a smoother texture.
Due to the low moisture content in the ganache, the tart part remains firm even after some time, making it last longer compared to a regular tart.
If you plan to carry it as a gift or while traveling, during the winter season, it should be fine outside the refrigerator for about half a day. However, it is best to use ice packs or coolants to keep it chilled for peace of mind.
Equipment
Please use a tart pan with a removable bottom, which is convenient for unmolding.
